Here you can book a carrying consultation or parenting support session with either Clare or Jeni. You can also book a time to collect a hired sling from our home in Royston with or without a fit check. If you’d like to have a chat with us about your options and what might suit you best or if you’re looking for something that’s not on the list, please get in touch.

Carrying Consultations

We will work with you to find a method of carrying that is comfortable and safe for you and your child. This can be in our purpose built space in our home, or one of us can travel to visit you in your home. Learning a new skill takes time so while all sling consultations are for 90mins, if you feel you would benefit from extra time maybe because you have more than one caregiver wishing to learn or multiple children, you can choose to book extra time in advance.

Parenting Support

We also offer bespoke parenting consultations. We can help you understand what's happening for your child from a developmental Perspective and help you to develop the skills to effectively respond to their needs while meeting your own. We cover a wide range of subjects, from pre and post natal support, what to expect as first time parents, baby sleep and weaning to play and behaviour, toilet learning and preparing your child for school or other big changes in their lives. All of these sessions are tailored to your specific needs, we will take the time to really understand you and you little ones and work with you to find solutions that work for you and your unique family.

Quick Chat

If you don’t need a full consultation but some advice and reassurance would be helpful you can book a quick 15 minute chat with one of us. In this short, £5 session we can show you how to use your carrier, check for a safe fit and help you to ‘tweak’ your technique to help optimise comfort and ease of use.

Sling Collection

If you can’t make it along to a library session to collect a hired carrier you can arrange an time to collect it from our home in Royston. It’s free to collect, we just need to know when to expect you! You can also arrange a quick chat session at the same time if you’d like a demonstration of how to use it or a fit check before you take it home with you.

Virtual Support

As it’s not always possible or practical to get together in person, we also offer online support. Our parenting support sessions, carrying consultations and quick chats are all available via Zoom or Microsoft teams. While our parenting support sessions can be easily tailored to work well without the need for us to both be in the same space, carrying support takes a bit more preparation and has some limitations. You won’t have access to a range of slings and carriers as you do in person so you would need to have your own or hire one of ours on advance to use during your session. We also need you to be comfortable having your camera on so we can accurately assess fit and safety.
